Robert Perkins, DDS, received his undergraduate at the University of Guelph in 1981 followed by a Certificate of Honors in Human Physiology at the University of Western Ontario in 1982.
He completed his dental degree in 1987 at the University of Western Ontario and opened his South London dental office shortly after. Dr. Perkins performs services in general dentistry, as well as orthodontics, esthetics and dental implants.
Having worked in sunny Sydney, Australia for the past 3 years. David has completed a Bachelor of Dentistry Degree with honours from the University of Sydney and has also obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Technology, Sydney and holds a graduate diploma in education from Macquarie University (Sydney).
David has worked in both the public and private sector in the hunter region of northern New South Wales. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and enjoys keeping up to date with the latest trends in dental technology.
Outside of work David has a keen interest in music and all things sports.
Dr. Shinger was born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario, and is a graduate of the Schulich School of Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario.
Dr. Shinger believes an emphasis on patient comfort and treatment is very important. She is committed to dental care, which is why she is constantly upgrading her knowledge and skills.
She has completed training on the surgical placement and restoration of dental implants. As a result, she is able to treat many of her patients with missing teeth. She has also completed extensive training in Invisalign, to provide patients with an alternative to regular braces.
When not practicing dentistry, she likes travelling, hot yoga and spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Howison graduated from Western University's dental school in 1978.
He moved to Cambridge and set up a general practice catering to families and looking after their dental needs.
Dr. Howison loves the community of Cambridge and also enjoys learning from his patients about their interests and connections within the community.
Dr. Natalia Trisna completed her Undergraduate degree in Optometry from the University of New South Wales before deciding to pursue her passion for Dentistry at the University of Sydney, Australia.
She was awarded the Colgate Award for Dental Research, the Australian Dental Research Foundation Award and her research on paediatric dentistry is soon to be published in the Australian Dental Journal.
She was also awarded the Dental Alumni Society Prize for Proficiency in Paediatric Dentistry and the Noel Martin Memorial Prize in Dentistry for consistent academic excellence in clinical aptitude, competence and professionalism.
Dr Trisna has experience working in paediatrics, aged care, family dentistry and emergency treatment and particularly enjoys endodontics and cosmetic services. She is always interested in the patient's wellbeing.
Having just moved from Sydney, Australia, she is enjoying her new life in Canada and looks forward to meeting new patients.
Dr. Johal graduated from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where she completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D) degree. She enjoys orthodontic services for two main reasons; to create beautiful smiles and to help establish proper function of teeth. Having two little ones of her own, she believes early prevention and intervention are the best treatment options for young children.
Dr. Johal is well aware of the overall health benefits of treating the whole body and considers the well-being of her patients her number one priority. You will have the opportunity to explore the dental relationship with diet and lifestyle together with Dr. Johal. She is passionate about staying current on dental innovations, and actively participates in several dental associations.
Dr. Johal believes creating relationships with patients is a vital part of not only treating the mouth, but also treating the patient as a whole. She looks forward to addressing your needs with the most effective treatment possible.
Dr. Davide Amato was born and raised in Toronto. He has been happily married for the last 17 years and has two wonderful teenage daughters.
Upon graduation from the University of Western Ontario in 1990 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.), Davide was accepted into the Toronto General/Western Ontario Hospital Residency program, which provided him with extensive knowledge in many facets of dentistry. Davide continues to engage in continuing educational courses to keep updated with the newest techniques and advancements offered in dentistry, including endodontics, oral surgery, implants, cosmetic, oral sedation, IV sedation, tissue grafting, and periodontal surgery.
In his spare time, Davide enjoys snowboarding, weightlifting and travelling to new and exciting places. He lives in Hamilton, ON with his wife and two children, but travels to Ainslie Street Dental Centre once a month to provide Sleep Dentistry, Teeth-in-a-Day, extractions, implants, root canals, gum surgeries, ortho and children’s services.
Dr. Trevor Pinchin graduated from the University of Sydney Australia Dental School with honours, earning the award for top restorative dentist in his final year. He is also a graduate of the University of Western Ontario with a double major in Medical Sciences and Biology.
Dr. Pinchin will be offering his services in Implant Dentistry, helping patients regain the ability to eat, speak, chew and live life with confidence!
Dr. Pinchin is excited to be spending more time in Cambridge working alongside his wife, Dr. Natalia Trisna, and the other talented doctors at Ainslie Street Dental Centre. He will be available by special appointment on weekends, and looks forward to connecting with the community in Cambridge.
